Submissions
Submission Preparation Checklist
As part of the submission process, authors are required to check off their submission's compliance with all of the following items, and submissions may be returned to authors that do not adhere to these guidelines.- File Specifications: The submission document is in an editable format compatible with Microsoft Word (.doc or .docx extensions) and has a total file size of less than 10 MB.
- Originality and Exclusivity: The manuscript constitutes an original and unpublished contribution, and it is not under simultaneous evaluation by another scientific journal or in press.
- Anonymization (Blind Review): The main text file is fully anonymized. Names, institutional affiliations, and any data allowing author identification have been removed from the body of the text and the file properties, leaving the respective template fields blank. These data will be entered exclusively into the metadata fields of the OJS system.
- Structural Standardization: The document formatting exactly reproduces the structure of the journal's official template.
- References: The manuscript fully complies with the style, citation, and organization requirements for bibliographical references in accordance with ABNT NBR 6023:2025.
- Authorship Identification: Authors and co-authors must be registered as users on the CIENTEC Journal platform prior to submission. The submitting author must include each co-author in the submission form, linking their respective registered profile on the platform.
- ORCID Registration: Authors and co-authors must possess an active ORCID (Open Researcher and Contributor ID) record.
- Authorship and Co-authorship: The contribution has up to 5 (five) authors.
Paper article
Research Article
Scope: Report of original research containing unpublished empirical or theoretical data. The text must present the consolidation of the methodology and an exhaustive discussion of the results.
Length Parameters: Articles must contain between 15 and 20 pages and be preceded by an abstract in the original language of the manuscript and a corresponding abstract in a foreign language (Spanish or English).

Reviews
Review Article
Scope: Systematic or integrative analysis of the existing literature on a specific theme. The text must present the state of the art of the object of study through the cross-referencing of consolidated bibliographic data.
Length Parameters: They must contain between 15 and 20 pages and be preceded by an abstract in the original language of the manuscript and a corresponding abstract in a foreign language (Spanish or English).

Experience Report
Experience Report
Scope: This section receives manuscripts describing pedagogical, scientific, or technological practices and experiences developed within the journal's thematic areas, with a potential contribution to the scientific and professional community. The text must contextualize the reported experience, describe the adopted procedures, present the observed results, and discuss the implications and resulting learning.
Length Parameters: Manuscripts must contain between 10 and 15 pages and be preceded by an abstract in the original language of the manuscript and a corresponding abstract in a foreign language (Spanish or English).

Short Communication
Short Communication
Scope: Structured report of preliminary results or partial advances of original research. The submission requires a complete methodology and consistent data that justify dissemination prior to the consolidation of a full article.
Length Parameters: The short communication must contain up to 8 pages and be preceded by an abstract in the original language of the manuscript and a corresponding abstract in a foreign language (Spanish or English).
Editorial Restrictions: The manuscript is limited to a maximum of 10 bibliographic references and 2 graphic elements (tables and/or figures).

Scientific or Technical Note
Scientific or Technical Note
Scope (Scientific): Communication focused on unpublished empirical data, the volume of which is insufficient to compose a complete article, but whose immediate dissemination is justified by its impact on the field of study.
Scope (Technical): Descriptive report aimed at the validation of methods, technological processes, operational protocols, or the development of laboratory instrumentation.
Length Parameters: Notes must contain up to 8 pages and be preceded by an abstract in the original language of the manuscript and a corresponding abstract in a foreign language (Spanish or English).
Editorial Restrictions: The manuscript is limited to a maximum of 10 bibliographic references and 2 graphic elements (tables and/or figures).

Ad Hoc Reviewers List
The Editorial Board of the CIENTEC Journal acknowledges the contribution of the professionals integrated into this database of reviewers. The application of scientific expertise and the allocation of time for the preparation of substantiated reviews enabled the execution of the continuous publication flow and the maintenance of the journal's metric indices.

Upon submitting the manuscript to the CIENTEC Journal, authors acknowledge and expressly agree to the following authorship and licensing guidelines:
Unrestricted Copyright Ownership: Authors retain full ownership of the copyright (moral and economic rights) to the work. The submission is academic in nature and does not imply the permanent transfer of economic rights to the publishing institution.
Right of First Publication: Authors grant the Federal Institute of Education, Science and Technology of Pernambuco (IFPE) and the CIENTEC Journal, on a non-exclusive basis, the editing and distribution rights, as well as the prerogative of first publication of the document.
Creative Commons Licensing: The published article will be distributed under the Creative Commons Attribution 4.0 International license (CC BY 4.0). This licensing architecture allows third parties to share, copy, and adapt the material, provided that authorship credit and the hyperlink to the original publication in the journal are unequivocally attributed.
Originality and Responsibility: Authors attest to the originality of the presented data, assuming exclusive legal liability for the statements made and guaranteeing the absence of third-party intellectual property violations. The files are processed by the iThenticate software for textual similarity auditing and plagiarism detection.
Archiving and Self-Archiving: Authors are explicitly authorized to deposit the final published version of the article (publisher's post-print) in institutional repositories, academic networks, and personal pages. The inclusion of the journal's Digital Object Identifier (DOI) is strongly recommended.
Privacy Statement
The personal data provided in this journal's system — comprising names, email addresses, institutional affiliations, and research identifiers (ORCID) — will be used exclusively for the editorial processing and scientific dissemination of this publication.
In compliance with the interoperability protocols of scholarly communication, authorship metadata linked to published articles may be extracted and shared with external infrastructures restricted to this ecosystem. This sharing is limited to persistent identifier registration agencies, academic indexing databases, and digital preservation networks.
The journal's management does not commercialize or transfer data for non-academic purposes, ensuring that data collection, storage, and sharing procedures operate in compliance with the guidelines of the Brazilian General Data Protection Law (LGPD — Law No. 13.709/2018).
